This one is a good one. Not much to say. Michael recorded his guitar and vocals in 2009, then I recorded three tracks of background guitar, some with delay effects that I altered live. We never got around to recording Jon, and I figured the song was already busy enough (and it would have been difficult to match tempo), so I decided no drums would be fine. When I started mixing, I played around with Michael's voice, and ended up adding a second track, pretty quiet and panned mostly to the right, of his voice with an intense chorus, which makes it sound subtly crazy, and adds depth. During other parts, I had an even more louder and intense chorus, and then harmonies an octave below and above. Sounds crazy.
